Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Counseling

Life can feel heavy. Our behavioral health services give you space to talk through what’s going on and learn tools to manage it. We provide counseling for anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, behavior challenges, and major life changes. For individuals dealing with substance use, our behavioral health services include supportive, non-judgmental counseling focused on recovery and healthier choices. You don’t need to wait for things to get worse before reaching out for behavioral health services.

Early Childhood Interventions

The early years matter. Our early childhood behavioral health services focus on strengthening the bond between parent and child when young children struggle with behavior, big emotions, or trauma. Because an 18-month-old cannot take part in counseling the same way an older child can, we tailor care to the child’s age, needs, and stage of development.

For babies, toddlers, and preschoolers, much of our work happens through their caregivers. We help parents understand challenging behaviors, respond to big emotions, strengthen their connection with their child, and build routines that support the whole family. Approaches such as Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) may also give caregivers practical tools they can use at home.

Support for Mothers

Anazao also offers a mothers’ support group at the Wayne County Health Department. It gives mothers a welcoming place to connect, talk about the challenges of raising young children, and receive support during the early years of parenting.

School-Located Services

For many families, school or daycare is the most convenient place for a child to receive care. Anazao brings outpatient therapy into these settings, making it easier for children to get support during their regular day.

We partner with teachers and school staff so children have consistent support. Our therapists may provide care inside school buildings, but they are Anazao employees, not school staff. We work alongside families, teachers, and other school professionals when appropriate, while providing care as an independent behavioral health provider.

This flexible approach allows us to bring support to children where they already spend their time, whether that is at school, daycare, or another community setting.

Psychoeducation Classes

Some people benefit from education alongside therapy. Our behavioral health services include psychoeducation classes focused on skill-building and awareness.

We offer programs such as anger management, theft prevention education, gambling, and parenting education. These classes, offered as part of our broader behavioral health services, help individuals understand behavior patterns and develop better decision-making tools.

The goal isn’t shame. It’s growth.

Case Management

When you’re looking for care that’s built around your child’s world, Anazao’s case management is here to help. We partner with families, schools, and local organizations across Wayne and Holmes County to provide support where it’s needed most—at school, at home, and in everyday life. Connected, accessible care that meets you where you are.

Service Coordination

Service coordination supports children and families facing complex challenges that may put a child at risk of being placed outside the home.  Our team helps connect families with the right services and support so the child can safely remain at home whenever possible.

Anazao partners with the Wayne County Family and Children First Council to provide this service. Together, we help families navigate providers, schools, agencies, and other resources while keeping everyone focused on the child’s well-being.

Families do not have to coordinate every moving part alone. We help bring the right people together, improve communication, and create a plan built around the needs of the child and family.

Whether you’re just getting started or need help navigating services, we’ll walk with you through the process.

Prevention

Prevention starts with giving people the knowledge and tools to recognize concerns early and respond with care. Anazao provides prevention programs in schools as well as training and education for professionals and community organizations.

These services may address suicide prevention and other behavioral health concerns affecting children, families, and the wider community. By helping people recognize warning signs, understand available resources, and know what steps to take, we can support individuals before a difficult situation becomes a crisis.
